My name is James, and I have been fortunate enough to be surrounded by loving animals all my life. From a young age I grew up with German Shepherds Timor, and later Dino - both huge in size and personality! My wife and children share my passion for animals and we love to go on long walks with our beautiful four legged friends.

At Band of Woofers Stockport I want to offer a fantastic dog walking experience for both dogs and owners. I will share pics and videos of each walk / visit so you can be assured your beloved pet is being loved and having fun while giving you the time you need to work or rest!

My Story
Back in 2022 I reached a point in my profession where I had to seriously ask myself if I wished to continue, is this what I wanted for the rest of my life? I have worked in healthcare within prisons for over 10 years and the strain of working in such a hostile and demanding environment was frankly taking it's toll on my own wellbeing. After years of working in the prison service I decided the benefits of leaving outweighed the few rewards of staying. At some point you either take the plunge, or you don't. Well I took the plunge!

After so many years of working within prisons...yes I felt I had served my time! I love animals and dog walking has always been my happy place, so it was a complete no brainer to me to embark (ahem!) on this new venture of dog walking and pet sitting.
Once I made that decision there was no going back! I have passed my NarpsUK Pet Sitting & Dog Walking Business Course including Canine & Feline First Aid.
I am a Gold Member of NarpsUK - National Association of Pet Sitters & Dog Walkers.
I am fully insured with Pet Business Insurance, and have an up to date DBS check.
I am trustworthy and reliable and want to offer the very best service there is - gold standard all the way!
In January 2023 Band Of Woofers was born and we have never looked back!
